PRIVACY NOTICE
Newton Investment Management Limited (“we”) take the issue of privacy very seriously and are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. You are invited to download a mobile application (“App”) to be used in connection with the Newton Investment Conference being held on 24 November 2016 at the Landmark Hotel in London (“Conference”). This notice sets out the basis on which any personal data we collect from you, or that you provide to us, will be processed by us in relation to your use of the App.

Information we collect from you
We will collect and process the information you give us when you download, register and use the App. The information you give may include your name, e-mail address and the responses you provide to us during the live activities at the Conference (such as answers to polling questions and surveys).

Uses made of the information
The data that we collect from you may be used to provide you with information regarding products and services offered by us and any other company within The Bank of New York Mellon Corporation. This may include, for example, contacting you in connection with any expressions of interests or questions you raise at the Conference. We will also make the list of Conference attendees (“Attendee List”) available on the App and you agree that we have the right to disclose your personal information for this purpose. You will keep the Attendee List confidential and will use it for information purposes only. You will not use the Attendee List for any other purpose (such as marketing) and you will not disclose the Attendee list to any third party.

Where we store your personal data:
The data that we collect from you will be transferred to, and stored at, a destination outside the European Economic Area (“EEA”). It will also be processed by staff operating outside the EEA who work for us or for one of our suppliers. The App is hosted by a supplier located in the United States. By submitting your personal data, you agree to this transfer, storing or processing. We will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this privacy notice. Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted; any transmission is at your own risk.

You have the right to obtain a copy of the information held about you by contacting Newton Investment Management Limited in writing at any time, for which you may be charged a fee.
